Myofascial Therapy

Myofascial Therapy

Myofascial therapy is a non-invasive and safe form of therapy which allow the spider-web-like connective fascia or tissue of the body to re-align in a pattern that allows maximum strength and function. The fascia covers every single tendon, ligament, muscle, veins, arteries, organs, bones – in fact everything within the body and is enormously strong – able to withstand 2000lbs per square inch of pressure. It is also extremely flexible but when it is out of whack – the whole body will be. When it is compromised it can manifest itself in bands of rigid and fibrous tension.

In view of the fact that the fascia is the inter-connective tissue throughout the whole body, the shortening, compromise or overstretching of the fascia caused through injury, performance or most commonly poor saddle fit effects all of the musculoskeletal and soft tissue in the horse’s body.
